Midlands Industrial Association Limited (MIA) is a Birmingham-based organisation dedicated to supporting small businesses and driving urban regeneration.
Established in 1978, MIA was founded by a group of professionals with extensive experience in regeneration, commercial development, and local government. Today, we continue to build on that expertise, transforming underused buildings into thriving workspaces for growing enterprises.
As a registered Community Benefit Society, our mission is simple: to promote employment and tackle urban decline by creating affordable, flexible workspace in inner-city areas. We focus on breathing new life into redundant buildings and derelict sites, helping local economies to grow and communities to prosper.
We own and manage a portfolio of workspaces across Birmingham and Wolverhampton, including Aston, Digbeth, the Jewellery Quarter, and Wolverhampton city centre.
Across our five main sites, we provide over 270,000 sq.ft. of office and industrial space, supporting a diverse range of small businesses.

Chair
Chris Hill became Chair of the Midlands Industrial Association Board in June 2026, having previously served as a Board Member for two years. He is an engineer by training (University of Wolverhampton) with an MBA from Cardiff University, and brings a career in business improvement, senior leadership and delivering sustainable change for large organisations.
Operations and Finance Manager
Rozanne has been with the business since 2017, starting originally as assistant accountant and progressing to company accountant, alongside studying for her professional exams. With years of experience across the business, she knows MIA inside and out, and now oversees day-to-day operations and finance to keep things running smoothly.
Accounts Assistant
Shannon joined the team as an Apprentice Bookkeeper in 2022 and has since progressed to the role of Accounts Assistant, reflecting her dedication and professional development. She is continuing to build her expertise by studying towards her AAT Level 4 qualification. Shannon supports the team with a range of day-to-day financial and administrative tasks, contributing to the efficient delivery of our accounting services.
Property Manager
Sarah joined the business in 2021 and is the Property Manager for The Chubb Buildings in Wolverhampton and the Jubilee Centre in Digbeth. She brings experience in administration and facilities management, gained within the retail sector, and is responsible for ensuring the buildings are managed to a high standard, delivering an excellent experience for licensees and visitors.
Property Manager
Alison has been with the company since it was founded and has over 20 years’ experience in property management starting out on the administration side, working her way up to her current position of hands on, face-to-face property management of the Birmingham Sites.
Administration Manager
Caroline joined the team in 2011 and has extensive office administration experience across a variety of sectors. She also oversees front-of-house and receptionist duties, helping to ensure the office runs smoothly while providing a friendly welcome to visitors.
Marketing and Property Administration Coordinator
Rachel joined MIA as our Marketing and Property Administration Coordinator, bringing a blend of creativity, organisation, and communication skills. She has a degree in Education, a PGCE, and several years' experience managing social media for a range of businesses alongside her teaching career.
Rachel is excited to bring this experience to MIA and looks forward to getting to know the businesses and people across our buildings.
